History of Terex-Cranes
The history of cranes is closely linked to the name Terex and its products. Since more than 120 years our engineers have been working on the optimization on our machines with the goal to increase the capacity of the cranes as well as the safety and the comfort of the operators.
Terex Cranes is a division of Terex Corporation, Westport, USA. Terex Corporation is a diversified manufacturer of a brood range of equipment primarly for the construction, infrastructure, surface mining, utility and maintenance industrie.

P&H was founded as a mobile cranes company.
1894
Lorain started with their business in mobile excavating and lifting equipment.
1882
American Crane founded, production of crawler cranes.
1918
Lorain designed the first rubber-tired crane.

P&H designed the first machines with fully welded carbody.
